Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress most well-known for her roles in films like Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. The actress was born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. When she was 16, Alexandra played the leading role in several dramas on television. Her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically successful Oscar nominated historical war film Downfall. Other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable national and international projects throughout her career. These include British biographical films Control Greek drama film The Dust of Time and the French historical mini-series Napoleon among others. In addition, she is juror at each of The Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
